  3. A multi-media projector application that allows you to display Service material on a big screen
  4. A reporting application for quickly generating a service sheet for a Service in Microsoft WordTM
  5. A security tool that helps you to merge together all your material into one compressed file for easy backup
 


Practical Use

 

Most people keep all their service material in different places. Some will be in different books or journals, some will be in the CD rack beside your desk, some will be scattered all over your desk while much will be kept in your head. Paraclete helps you to 'get it together' so that you can quickly identify the Service Items that you want in a service, drag and drop them into a Service structure print out a service sheet in less than a minute and then run that service on a big screen                                                                    

 


Features

 

Quickly add Service items in any of five different ways

  1. From within the Paraclete application, click the 'New Service Item' button
  2. From within Microsoft WordTM right click any text and select the 'Add to Paraclete' option
  3. From Windows Explorer, just right click any file and select the 'Send To -> Paraclete' menu option
  4. Drag and drop a file onto the Paraclete shortcut on the Desktop
  5. Import a collection of Services or Service Items that a colleagues has made available on the Internet or sent by email

Reduce all your Service Items to a list of a manageable size by specifying criteria using the FlexiSearch tool

Direct Services, or Service items to a template resulting in a Microsoft WordTM document that you can print or give to a friend 

Swap Service Items with colleagues to quickly increase the amount of material in your copy of Paraclete 

Ensure you don't use a Service Item repeatedly in different services as information about different services is kept after the running of the service 

  Paraclete supports the following types of Service Item: -

  1. Announcement - details about an event that is to take place
  2. Children's Address

  3. Creed

  4. Diagram - A picture that helps convey a message

  5. Image - a picture that intends to evoke an image

  6. Joke - a joke or funny story

  7. Meditation - a poem or thought

  8. Message - usually a sermon

  9. Miscellaneous - anything that is not covered in the other 17 Service Item types

  10. Music - a mp3, wav or midi file

  11. Points list - a list of points, usually attached to a sermon or children's address

  12. Power Point Presentation - a Microsoft Powerpoint file

  13. Prayer

  14. Quotation

  15. Reading - A passage from the bible or another book

  16. Responsive reading

  17. Song - Song or Hymn

  18. Statistic

  19. Story - story or anecdote

Depending on how much hard disk space you have, you can include content or a pointer to where the content can be found
